About the Artist:
"Plein air painting is, for me, the most natural way to experience and interpret all that Mother Nature has provided. I am so inspired by the poetry of light and its magical effects on color. This observation is why I have to paint! This is honest painting! I see everything in simple terms as spots of color with a variety of edges, temperature and values. My idea is to translate these elements directly to the paint surface conveying a certain mood and spirit while holding true to the initial inspiration. Many times work is not completed on site but enough information is gathered in my field studies for references when painting larger canvases back in the studio. My ultimate challenge is to honor the essence of my personal vision of reality and invite my viewers to share in the process. Only then is my mission complete."
